          Shipping

Shipping cost $225.00 to most airports that have live
animal Continental terminal...which includes an airline
approved crate, Vet medical certificate, and the flight
ticket.  They put the pup in a pressurized compartment
behind the people area, safe and noise proof. We do
all the foot work, you just go to the airport and pick
up puppy at the baggage claim office. You must show
your drivers license, so the address you give me must
be the same as the one on your license.

It's hard letting them go......
but we know they are getting good homes.

       HOW WE RAISE THE PUPS

We bring our mom's into our house 2 weeks before they are due.
We feed them hamburger and rice and Nutra-cal a vitamin supplement.
We help her with the delivery and she stays in a special room (spare bedroom)
we have made into a doggie nursery.

When pups are 6 weeks old, they are put into playpens and brought into the
living room to get more socialized, and use to house hold noises.
At this time we start paper training them, and playing ball, mom still gets to
nurse them 3 x a day for one week.

We keep them in the house until they are around 7 weeks old so they will be
used to house hold noises, and visitors. Then they get to go outside half of
a day in the puppy nursery with all kinds of toys, hanging ones they can pull
on, balls, squeaky toys etc.

They get to socialize with the other pups and dogs, we have a big galoot
named Coda that lets them jump all over him, he weights about 85 lbs.
Then on the weekend they get to walk with us along the lake side, and play
in the water they love it, except when it's cold. We spend 4 + hours a day
working with our pups and dogs to insure a good healthy, happy pup with good
Ratitude.

We let them sleep in crates the same ones we use for shipping so they will not be
scared to death, and also a lot of people like to potty train using the crate method.
They will be paper trained as much as possible. We start feeding them Nutro Puppy
food can and dry mixed together. They get their first shots at 6 weeks, and we
start worming them at 2 weeks and every 2 weeks after that. We, the kids, neigh-
bors, family, friends and visitors give them lots of LOVE. I have discovered that you
get what you pay for, people that buy  cheap dogs usualy have problems when they
get them home. They have to take them to the vet and spend another 3 or 4 hund-
red getting them healthy. We worm the parents, give them heart worm preventive,
have them vet checked for knee and joint problems and all health issues. We have
culled out bad breeders and only bought the best of the best. We feed them high
quality dog food......The puppies are now checked for worms, coccida, heart mumur's,
knee problems, and skin problems before they are shipped.

Rat Terriers are very energetic and they need some exercise at least 20 min.
a day even if you throw the ball to them....also beware they love to sleep with
you and are stubborn in that area. Easy, so easy to train, and they talk....yes,
when they get around 1 year old they will bark at you and dance when they are
hungry and they will go to the door and bark when they need to go outside. They
are really amusing, I could go on and on...I feel they are America's best keep secret.
